Trip to Azerbaijan

During my student holidays in 1971, I decided to go to Baku. I went there for a whole month. I have already heard a lot about the fact that in “Azerbaijan it is very common that they fuck in the ass” and so on. I can’t say that this was confirmed, in any case, “many” was an exaggeration. With great difficulty, I managed to get a room at the “Azerbaijan” Hotel. This hotel was mainly for visitors from the regions of the republic.

I lived in a shared room. But for the most part, I was there alone. In the center of the city was the square "Parapet", allegedly a cruising area. But Azerbaijanis, like all southern peoples, have a peculiar mentality, they are mostly bisexual. These bisexuals, though, will not specifically go looking for someone in notorious places.

I also saw local "girls". They were particularly vulgar. It was customary for them to shout loudly and behave in such a way that the whole street would understand who they were. At the sight of a good-looking guy or man, they screamed something like “how I want a dick”… The faggots were called "götveren", i.e. "ass giver".

One of the local "girls" once said to me:

- Oh, look what a beautiful blonde has arrived! Honey, where are you from? Well, how do you like our men? Honey, why are you sitting here alone on the bench? Do you think that they will approach you as if you were a real girl? They will not.

It really was like that - the men stared, even turned around, but they never took the first steps to get to know you. Still, there were some pick-ups, I brought guys to the hotel. I can't say that any of them were particularly memorable. I only remember that I kept score of my fucks by drawing lines on the wall with fountain pen. In a month it seemed to be seven or eight.

Villagers from the districts stayed at the hotel. Here among them there were still “archaic” types, for whom getting to know a guy and fucking with him was a normal thing, which could be shared with friends. Late one evening, an Azerbaijani man met me in the corridor and invited me to his room. There were five more people there (wow, good ones). They said that I should go to bed with them (there was a free bed). I undressed and lay down. But then the hotel maid bursts in (which is strange) and starts yelling. She kicked me out. Like, you can't sleep in someone else's room. Most likely, this intrusion, which disrupted my promising night, happened because often, in the absence of places in the hotel, strangers befriended their fellow countrymen and stayed overnight in their rooms. In a word, it had nothing to do with vile policing.

Once I witnessed a funny spectacle. I went to a cafe in the city center, sat at a table and drank coffee. Suddenly the music started playing. And then I saw that young people jumped up from their seats and began to dance with each other! They came up to me and invited me to dance. I was embarrassed and refused. I did not know how to dance and how to behave in a similar situation.

Oddly enough, Baku did not leave any vivid impressions on me. Maybe, except for one case that I remember. But that was on a different visit. Also in January, but during a natural disaster when the whole city was covered with snow. I wandered into the railway station. Suddenly I saw a soldier looking at me with a penetrating look. We immediately approached each other and started talking. It turned out that he was an Armenian from Yerevan, serving in Baku. He himself is a student, urban, served in the army after graduation. They were sent to the station to clear the tracks from snow. Handsome, friendly. Immediately the question arose - where to go to fuck? We agreed to meet in the evening near the bathhouse to go to a private room.

Evening comes. I didn’t really believe that he would turn up, because negotiating with people from the Caucasus “for later” is usually a hopeless business. I came to the bathhouse, I probably waited for an hour. Suddenly, far, far away, at the end of a long street, a spec of a walking man appears. The spec grows in size and turns into a silhouette. I begin to distinguish - this is my soldier.

There was a queue in the bathhouse and we waited for a very long time. Finally we ended up in a large room with a bathhub, with some kind of marble table in the middle. Robert had a wonderful figure - he was strong, hairy, his legs were powerful, like those of a football player. We started doing something. It turned out that he belongs to that rare type of men who only allow to be sucked off, they can’t fuck in the ass,an ass does not give the man an erection. As soon as he tried, at my request, to insert his dick into my ass, the dick went limp. Well, in short, somehow I sucked him off.

His autograph is still kept in my notebook - Robert D. At parting, he said: be sure to come to Yerevan, Armenia, you will really like it there, and you will find anyone to your taste (which was later confirmed).
